Pool Party part of a great start to the year.
Kia ora everyone.
Centennial School had a wonderful start to the school year with their Pool Party on Friday afternoon. Over one hundred children and parents enjoyed each other’s company and the cool water in the Waimate public pool. The Find raising and Social team did a great job in cooking the Heller’s sausages that were sponsored for this event. Thanks, from us all to Hellers as well.
This is the second year we have run this event and it is great to see the big increase in numbers attending. It is looking like this could be an annual event especially if the beautiful summer weather we had on Friday can be relied upon.
While this is not the very start of the year for Centennial it does mark the start of our Out-door education season which gets underway with all students taking part in a week-long series of outdoor activities. We are all hoping the weather can keep itself in summer mode for bit longer.
The pool party is also the first Fundraising and Social team activity for the year. There are several more events planned to keep the Centennial community involved and engaged with the school.
We are happy to welcome new members to the Fundraising and Social team from the junior school. You are a precious group of people putting together all the social occasions that bring us closer as a community.
